Cinnamon Baked Apple Slices

This is a rare, two-ingredient side, and I can guarantee your family will love it. We eat cinnamon baked apple slices almost every Sunday with chicken, peas and salad to reset our system after Saturdays spent eating pizza, brownies and other unwholesome things.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say these apples help save that routine meal. Because, no one is tired of it yet, which is a miracle.

In fact, Keegan and Ellie like to sneak extra apples in the cart just so they can have more of this dish.

It really couldn’t be simpler. Here’s how it works:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Peel four or five golden delicious apples.
  3. Cut off each side of the apple, leaving four pieces.
  4. Then, put them in a glass baking dish. I use an 8×8 most of the time.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Toss to combine using your hands.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until tender.
  7. Serve immediately.

That’s it. Barbie dress, dirty table and random bowls in the background not required, but likely.
