Moonrise Kingdom, Or How I Left the House

This last Saturday, my parents offered to watch Miss Peanut for a few hours during the day, so that Keegan and I could go on a date. For the first time in weeks, I blew my hair dry and put on make-up. I also slipped on heels for the first time in six months. It was pretty major. I drank sangria.

People, it was wonderful.

After a lovely lunch, we decided to hit up the Glenwood Arts theater to see Moonrise Kingdom. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but quickly fell in love with this dark, sweet, romantic comedy. The movie has some Hollywood heavyweights (Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Bruce Willis and Bill Murray), but in my opinion, the young stars stole the show with their sweet believable performances.

If you have an opportunity to sneak away this week, I’d recommend giving this movie a try.
