If you’ve picked up a fashion magazine in the last few months, then you’ve probably seen the new ad campaign for Ferragamo. In it, they feature one of the “new” trends for fall, houndstooth. A sucker for black and white, I’ve long been a fan of this graphic print. There’s something about it that feels modern and vintage at the same time.
In my closet, you’ll already find a few houndstooth pieces. A few years ago, my mom picked up a houndstooth scarf for me, and when the weather turns cold, I wear it all the time. It adds a graphic pop to any coat. This fall, I picked up a blurry version of the print at H&M in the form of a drapey, sleeveless blouse. My point is, no matter how beautiful these images from Ferragamo are, you can find really great versions of it for less.
If you’ve never worn houndstooth or are looking for inspiration, check out Who What Wear’s post on how to wear the print. They show some great examples of celebrities working the look. Be sure to check out Elizabeth Olson’s shoes. They are so chic.
