This dish isn’t really a recipe, so much as an easy way to jazz up peaches. Cinnamon and brown sugar combine to create a light syrup for sliced peaches. Chopped walnuts add crunch, and a honey-yogurt sauce adds a bit of cream. The taste is warm and decadent, but the ingredients are fairly virtuous. Try it tonight with dinner or as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.
Cinnamon Sugar Peaches with A Honey Yogurt Sauce*
Serves 2
3 small peaches, sliced
1 tsp. dark brown sugar
A sprinkle of cinnamon
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts
2 tbsp. plain yogurt
1 tsp. honey
Slice 3 peaches. Add a tsp. of brown sugar and a healthy sprinkle of cinnamon. Toss together. Next, add the chopped walnuts.
In a separate bowl, mix 2 tbsp. yogurt with 1 tsp. honey. While you stir the yogurt sauce, the juices from the peaches will start to make a light syrup with the sugar and cinnamon.
Now, place the peaches in individual bowls and top with a drizzle of the yogurt.
