This has nothing to do with our new house, but I had to show you Ellie’s “mad face.” It’s pretty good, right?
Where to start? Our new house is coming together, but I have a running list of updates that need to be made streaming through my brain at all times. It goes something like this, “Hmm. I think I’m making risotto for dinner tonight. That light fixture needs updated. I wonder if Keeg’s planning to hang the T.V., or will it stay here? If not, I’ll need to find another piece of art. And, I can’t forget the rug! Where’s my pen?” My brain is an exhausting place to be.
So, today, I’ll share some of my favorite things about our new home in attempt to focus on things that are mostly done.
My cookbook collection is nestled here, snugly and in rainbow order. I love the shot of color it adds to this corner of the kitchen.
I have two small vases that typically sit here, but every once in a while, I add a third when Ellie brings me flowers. The clover is fitting in nicely here.
Our first large living space has a small T.V. area and dining table. It’s basically where we spend 90% of our time. Nestled together on this couch, our new place feels like home.
By far the prettiest room in the house, the flashes of green out our windows are beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing fall and winter take shape as well. (But, not too soon.)
If you were a guest at our house, you would stay here. It’s so calm and serene.
My office is still a work in progress, but I love having a dedicated space that is far away from the action of our home.
