On Easter, Ellie hunted eggs in our backyard. Because I had my camera, she got hers out too. You’ll see hers also doubles as a thermometer.
A few weeks ago, we spent a lazy weekend at the farm visiting Keegan’s family. One evening, the light was the prettiest thing on the planet. This photo captures how these two always look. She’s mid-sentence, and he’s in love.
I did a preview of my Easter table on the blog, but wanted to share how it actually turned out. My grocery store was out of the original flowers I chose, but I thought this combination was really pretty anyway.
Ellie likes to pretend she is a witch (and a cat, and a dog, and a princess, and a monkey, and a baby monster….). Here, she is casting a spell with her wand. You could say her imagination has definitely kicked in.
This lovely place is the home we’ve shared for the last eight years. We have renovated every inch of it. It is where I first moved in with a boy and the place I became a mom. I have laughed and cried and worried and danced and watched way too much reality t.v. here. In about a month, we’ll be moving to a new home in Kansas City. I’m excited for our new journey, but will miss this place dearly.
I couldn’t tell you we were moving without sharing a peek into our new home. This is a living room in the new house. It is bright and airy with lots of windows. We love it – even Ellie’s baby Sweetie.
