Cookbook Gift Guide

Hello, my name is Lane, and I am addicted to cookbooks. Like, head over heels, can’t get enough of them.

Here, I’ve rounded up a cookbook gift guide based on favorites from my shelves.

Gift Guide

1. For the Health Nut: The Food You Crave, Ellie Krieger – A favorite at our house, this book is full of healthy food that tastes so delicious you’ll forget how great it is for you. Try the lemon chicken soup, a family favorite.
2. For the Aspiring Grill Master: Bobby Flay’s Grill It, Bobby Flay – This man taught me everything I know about grilling. He is a genius in the kitchen (duh). His recipes are easy to follow and have impressive results.
3. For the Resource Lover: How to Cook Everything Vegetarian, Mark Bittman – This is the kind of book I pull out time and again when I have a question about something. For example, how long should I cook oatmeal? Ask Mark Bittman. He has all the answers.
4. For the Seasonal Cook: Miss Dahl’s Voluptuous Delights, Sophie Dahl – A complete charmer, this cookbook has great ideas and adorable first-hand stories from a former model who just so happens to be Roald Dahl’s granddaughter.
5. For the One with a Family: Weeknights with Giada, Giada de Laurentiis – Her cookbooks are innovative, and the recipes foolproof. This is my favorite one she’s written, but truthfully, I like them all.
6. For the Fashionista: My Father’s Daughter, Gwyneth Paltrow – This book, like many things Gwynnie, came under some scrutiny when it came out, but let me go on the record as saying, it is fantastic. Her rotisserie chicken is my go-to.
7. For the Beginning Cook: 30 Minute Meals 2, Rachael Ray – Rachael Ray gets a bad rap from a lot of folks, but she helped me learn how to cook. This was one of the first cookbooks I ever used, and I have tried nearly all the recipes. The pages have the stains to prove it. 30 Minute Meals 2 is great for beginners.
8. For the Foodie: The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook, Deb Perelman – A die-hard perfectionist in the kitchen, Deb is tireless in creating the most lovely, drool-worthy dishes. Popcorn cookies? Don’t mind if I do.
9. For Anyone Packing a Lunch: Weelicious: Lunches – Catherine McCord – There are a million great lunch ideas in this book. All of them are healthy.

I’d love to know which cookbooks you love most. Share your favorites in the comments.
