This month, we were lucky enough to see my nieces play softball two weekends in a row. I think you can tell from this picture how much Ellie loved cheering them on.
Last weekend, we headed to the Napa and Sonoma area for a work trip minus the little one. One night, we went to a really beautiful dinner at a vineyard. I broke out this dress from Frankly Basic and my new red lipstick. (Can you believe that sunset? Pretty gorgeous.) What you can’t see here is that I actually zipped my hair in my dress. Glamour follows me at every turn.
At that same dinner, these little, white lanterns crisscrossed the sky. It was so pretty.
At one of the softball tournaments, my niece introduced Ellie to her teammates. Ellie later referred to them as her “friends.” From this picture, you can tell she thinks she’s killing it.
A few weeks ago, some friends and I went to see Zac Brown Band at Sporting Park in KC. It was a fantastic concert, though a little cold. (We tailgated in the car, because we’re so outdoorsy.)
Before things kicked off in Sonoma, the hubby and I had some free time. I booked us a very late dinner at Ad Hoc in Yountville. All of the dishes were familiar, but the most perfect version they could possibly be. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Period.
This was the main course: smoked wagyu beef with corn, carrots and homemade onion rings. The picture I took doesn’t even come close to doing it justice. And, don’t even get me started on the brown butter, pecan homemade ice cream with a pear torte….So delicious.
