Living in Kansas, the idea of Western wear can seem a little tired. But, this doesn’t seem very boring. Does it?

What I love about this collection from Ralph Lauren is the way he mixes sequins and metallics with some serious Western pieces. I’ll admit this cowboy/prairie look is a big departure from my usual style, but I plan to pick up a few items and thread them into my existing wardrobe.  I’ll be on the lookout for:

• Great leather belts
• Fringed handbags
• Denim or chambray shirts
• White, lightweight skirts
• Lacy pieces
