Growing up in small town Kansas, I had a strong fascination with glamour. I loved flipping through thick issues of Vogue and sipping Shirley Temples. My grandparents were great travelers, and I loved hearing their stories about trips to France, England and Asia. I was a little girl who liked the finer things.
Consequently, I’ve grown into a woman with many of the same interests. They’ve just presented themselves differently than I imagined. For example, I like to cook and bake. And garden. For a woman still barely in her 20′s, these are not the most glamourous pursuits, but they are my attempt to make life more beautiful.
This blog is designed to share tips and ideas for the day-to-day details that inspire. So whether I’m talking salad dressing or sequins, this site will give insight into how I keep my inner five year old alive. Expect to see a little bit of this and that – essentially, the miscellaneous.

Great blog! I enjoyed your posts!! Keep them coming
I stumbled on your blog because of the Guilty Pleasures – I post a GP song every Friday – but some of the recipes look great. Good work! http://www.foodandwinehedonist.com
